Ras el hanout, or raz el hanout, or rass el hanout... It doesn't matter how you spell it (it does matter a bit, you can't spell it B L A C K P E P P E R), Ras el Hanout is a Middle Eastern spice mix popular in Morrocan, Algerian and Tunisian cuisine. Commonly found in cous cous dishes and tagines. Samia's Ras contains a wonderful mix of ground spices: coriander, turmeric, salt, cumin, black pepper, fenugreek, cayenne pepper, ginger, caraway, fennel, parsley and garlic. Great for marinading meat and adding an Eastern flavour to a variety of recipes.
