These are genuine rashers of back bacon from Great Britain, with a little bit of fat (ideal for crisping) and the classic teardrop shape that tesselates perfectly onto a bacon butty. Officially what the British call bacon is from the pork loin in the middle of the pig, which is a lean cut providing the eye-meat known as the medallion. We've tried bacon sandwiches (or baps, or sarnies, or barms) with French bacon, but they're just not right. Obviously these proper bacon rashers are equally well-suited to an full English breakfast (or full Scottish, or full Irish...), a cooked brunch or even enrobing sausages as pigs in blankets. Comme vous voulez! This smoky variation is prepared, cured and imbued with a satisfying smokiness that adds a bit of added complexity to your bacon. Available in a few pack sizes.
