- Suitable for strict vegetarians (if other plant based mixes are used in the preparation instruction rather than milk).
Storage
Store in a cool, dry place. Once made up, store in a refrigerator and treat as fresh food. For Best Before End see lid or base of pack.
Preparation and Usage
- All You Need
- 1 Pint (568ml) of Milk
- Sugar
- On the Hob
- Mix 2tbsp (35g) of custard powder with 2 tbsp (35g) of sugar in a saucepan.
- Measure 1 pint (568ml) of cold milk, add a little of it (approx. 2 tbsp) to the pan and stir to form a smooth paste.
- Stir in the remainder of the milk.
- Heat, Stirring continuously, until gently boiling.
- Microwave 800W, Cat E
- Mix 2tbsp (35g) of custard powder with 2 tbsp (35g) of sugar in a large bowl (at least 2L).
- Measure 1 pint (568ml) of cold milk, add a little of it (approx. 2 tbsp) to the bowl and stir with a fork to form a smooth paste.
- Stir in the remainder of the milk.
- Heat on full power for 6 minutes, whisking/stirring half way through and again at the end.
