Product Description
Batchelors processed peas are peas which have been harvested in the UK using a special machine that separates the peas from their pods. Once extracted from their natural packaging, the peas are preserved using a particular technique which allows them to be stored for a longer period of time. Before they are canned, the peas are rehydrated. This 'process' makes the peas easy to store, perfect for a kitchen larder, and gives them a different flavour and texture to frozen peas. Processed peas are often considered something of a comfort food, like their siblings mushy peas, and are a great vegetable to serve with roast dinners or fish and chips. If small processed peas are a little, well, little for you, why not try Batchelors Bigga Peas?
